From The Ground Up is an online program that’s all about the children changing their families health through their own learning about nutrition and healing through food and how fun and easy it can be!
It offers play and learning! Hands on approach. We plant seeds together and watch them grow then learn about what we get to create with what we have grown, how we can eat and enjoy it! And how its healing for our bodies!
What kind of diet is this? Do I have to follow it exactly?
This is not a diet 💗. It’s a lifestyle, it gets to be what you make it. We will work through this and get you to a place where you feel confident in what you eat, empowered to eat well, and able to sustain the changes! To receive the BEST results I ask my clients to be 100% committed to making intentional food choices. I focus on eating mostly plants (don’t judge it until you try it!) and work with clients to find ways to make this sustainable not only for them for their family as well.
Do I have to be vegan to do this program?
This is a great question! And although eating mostly plants sounds like a vegan diet it’s not the approach or perspective I take. You can be vegan and eat very poorly not giving your body all the nutrients it deserves! Ok but you didn't answer the question Danika… Of course not! AND I get to share with you tons of information about nutrition and food and with all of that information you get to make an informed BEST decision for your family that is SUSTAINABLE!
What if I fall off the wagon?
We together get right back on it. Lifestyle is a commitment you get to make every day when you wake up! This is a journey and falling off the wagon is expect and exactly perfect because one day you won’t. The lifestyle you have created will be so natural for you, you wont believe there was ever a different way.
I’ve tried everything, will this actually help?
My passion is working with people who say those exact words “I’ve tried everything and nothing has worked”, the people who are terrified to start because they have failed so many times in the past. I can’t guarantee anything in life but I can say that I love what I do and I have seen it work on my clients who put in the effort and commit. Just remember “if it’s to be, it’s up to ME”, what I mean is that... if you want this, you get to have it, and achieve it when you show up for yourself!
Can you guarantee weight loss?
I WISH!! I get to support you one million percent, and I can’t put the food in your mouth or exercise or meditate or attend group meetings for you. What you put in, is what you will get out. That being said, I’ve seen so many success stories around weight loss in my containers. It’s a bonus benefit of living a healthy lifestyle.
Will my family enjoy the food?
I have worked with children who love the recipes and families who have been able to incorporate this into their lives so my inclination is to say yes! And I also know that I don’t like some foods and nor do you, so that’s up to the family and we get to work together to discover what that looks like for you!
Will I like the food?
Everyone wants to know this! And it’s a legit question. My experience has been that clients are genuinely surprised and shocked at how much they love the meals! Plus you get to be creative and I get to support you in finding recipes you love! Life is too short to eat food you hate!
How much time will cooking take? How long will I be in the kitchen?
We get to LOVE being in the kitchen its part of my own journey to healing was learning that my story of HATING cooking has changed drastically when I found food I enjoyed when I learnt how to make things and when I saw the changes in my body.
I also know how busy life is, so I talk about meal planning and prep, and all about the ways to cut time in the kitchen. Tops 1 hour a day but this varies day to day and depending if you prepped or not. We get to find the way that works best for you!
How much will I be spending on food?
I love this question, this actually came up a lot in my thesis. Unfortunately I can’t give you an exact number for a few reasons… One reason is it depends where you live and the access you have to food… second reason it depends on the season (when its winter berries are ultra expensive where I live but in the summer I just walk outside my door and grab them off the bush)...Something to consider though is how much processed food do you eat? How much meat do you purchase? Where you spend money on some things in this program you may not spend money on others possibly even including no longer needing medications for some diseases.
